Meet the Principal

Mrs. Diane Joyce

My name is Diane Joyce, and I am honored to lead and serve as the principal of G.H. Carson Elementary School. I have been an educator for over thirty years, with a range of teaching experience from elementary school to college (I am an adjunct professor at Rowan University). Early in my educational career I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Sierra Leone, West Africa. More recently, I have travelled to Guatemala to present at the International Literacy Conference, with the goal of improving the education of teachers in Guatemala.

I am a life-long learner, earning a  Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (Elizabethtown College), a Master's Degree in Education/Administration (Rutgers University) and a Master's Degree in Reading Education (Rowan University). In addition, I am a Pennsauken resident and a proud graduate of Pennsauken High School.

It is my pleasure to be a part of the Carson Community and I welcome all our students, parents, and guardians to Carson Elementary School!
